Hunting in Africa

Africa offers some of the best hunting in the world. Hunting in Southern Africa is done in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Mozambique and Zambia also offers hunting safaries, though there is still a lot of work to be done.

We offer our hunts mainly in South Africa, we can also do hunts in Tanzania.

South Africa can with right be called a world in one country. There's a rich variety of habitats namely, coastal forests, karoo, mountains, highveld savannah, lowveld, riverine bush and the bushveld to name but a few. South Africa has a wide variety of plains game and is the only country where all of the big five can be hunted. Very few African species cannot be hunted in South Africa.

The game is abundant, due to good management strategies. Privately owned game farming has a big role to play in the game management programs. Most of the hunting in South Africa is done on exempted farms.

South Africa has a very well developed infra-structure with good roads and telecommunications.

There are good medical facilities available, there will hardly ever be a hospital furter than 100km from you. Helicopter paramedic services are also available. With a well developed airfreight system, you will only be 3 to 4 hours away from your hunting destination. Varying grades of hotels are available throughout the country. In all the big centers motorcar hire is available.

A variety of holiday destinations are available; Kruger National Park, Sun City, Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, the scenic garden route, scuba diving and fishing trips at Sodwana, Ukahlamba Drakensberg Park hikes and tours, the Drakensberg Park is a world heritage site, Cape town with Table mountain, the Wine route and many others. The scenery in South Africa keeps on changing as you travel through the country due to our many biomes and different landscapes.  It’s not called the rainbow nation for nothing, with nine different languages and different cultures you will nevert be bored. South Africa is a very stable country with a stable government and a well organised economy.

We will go out of our way to make your hunt as pleasant as possible. All our hunting destinations have excellent facilities. We will let you experience the warm South African hospitality and treat you as family. You will only need to bring your personal effects, your clothes and yourself, we supply all the rest.

Tanzania is totally different from RSA. The infra-structure is not as well developed, but you will be hunting in a true wilderness area with no fences, where the animals still have their seasonal migrations. Hunting is mainly done from May untill the end of October, when the raining season starts.

All camps are rebuilt every year before the hunting season starts and removed at the end of the hunting season. A lot depends on the amount of rain that fell the previous year, water is the life substnace of  wildlife migratory routes. Hunters are flown in to the hunting destinations.
